You voted, we listened: Here’s the name of Sunrise’s new mascot

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – More than 1,300 people voted on our Instagram poll to name Sunrise’s new addition — yes, a puppy.
She’s a fluffy 3.5-months-old pup, half Shih Tzu and part Maltese.
The three options were Penny, Pepper, and Leuca.
Here are the results:
Leuca is short for the scientific name of a giant panda — Ailuropoda melanoleuca.
And while nobody can ever replace our beloved friend Sunny, we’re excited to have Leuca join our Sunrise family.
