    Description

An original site program for a URA midget race run over the Fresno Airport Speedway (aka the Kearney Bowl), then a 1/4 mile paved oval.
The race featured future Indy greats Bill Vukovich and Roger Ward early in their careers and the previous owner has scored the entire program (it seems to have been won by Bill Zaring).
A track first opened at the airport in 1936 as a 1/5 mile dirt oval, was closed during the war and reopened for this 1947 season as a massively remodeled, 1/4 mile pavement ring with a seating capacity of 18,000.

An attractively illustrated and well preserved program from the postwar boom in California midget racing.
