Vintage Motorcycle Racing "Hot Shoe"  Skid Plate Boot.
I know nothing about this sort of item, other than they do not pop up very often, at least not in my world.   I am sure motorcycle people will know all about it.
All steel skid plate that goes over boots
Has a good strong strap with a good buckle
Not sure if it is factory made or home made or maybe is factory made and modified at home.  Some of welding beads look like they were added
The only marking is the "1/2" on the toe and I don't know what that stands for.
Measures  12 1/2" long outside.    11 3/4" inside.     4 3/4" wide at the widest point.    The toe opening measures  4" wide    Strap measures  29" long
Used condition.    Please look closely at pictures for a better description and for condition.
