Ultra-high sensitivity Helium-3 (

He) neutron detector SI-19N (proportional counter tube) with SHV (high-voltage BNC) connector.
This detector is sensitive to thermal neutrons and is an excellent choice for Fusor enthusiasts.
This detector will work both in proportional and corona modes (depending on bias voltage).

Sensitivity
~700 CPM using 1 mCi Po-Be neutron source (moderated)
Background ~5 CPM.
Moderator
For best results surround the detector with 3 inches of HDPE moderator on all sides.
Connectivity
Use 100 pF capacitor and for HV bias voltage filtering and 10 MOhm resistor for HV bias load.
