MILK PAINT
Toscana Milk Paint allows you to easily recreate the iconic historic patina found on European antiques. Each carefully curated pigment is sourced from Italy and the South of France to provide superior finish, color, and vibrancy. Whether you are a beginner or an expert purist, you are sure to fall in love with Amy’s favorite finish!
You can apply
Toscana Milk Paint
to a piece of raw or unfinished wood by mixing One Part Paint to One Part Water. Adjust the amount of water to very the thickness. If you wish to apply the
Toscana Milk Paint
to an existing painted finish, you will need to mix it with our
Toscana Milk Paint Binder.
(not included) To do this, simply add equal parts Binder to your already mixed wet paint. This will allow your freshly mixed
Toscana Milk Paint
to adhere to most any surface. We do suggest that you clean your piece with a
degreaser before painting, making sure all the grease and grime is removed before you begin. After final coat, lightly sand with 400 grit sandpaper.
If you a
CRACKED,
more authentic antiqued finish apply one or two coats of
Cracked Gesso
(not included) over your raw unfinished wood. Let dry between coats. After
Cracked Gesso
dries, lightly sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Apply two or three coats of
Toscana Milk Paint
over
Cracked Gesso.
Allow each coat to dry before additional coats. Do not use
Toscana Milk Paint Binder
with this process as it will prevent Cracking.
TIP: More
Cracked Gesso
will increase the amount and size of Crack in the
Toscana Milk Paint.
