The Old Farmhouse Cast Iron Seasoning is a
proprietary
blend of 100% pure unaltered beeswax and high quality leaf lard designed to keep your cast iron cookware in top-notch condition for years to come! Lard is very stable when blended with beeswax and will not go rancid for a very, very long time...if ever.

swear by grapeseed oil, linseed oil, olive oil and other types of vegetable oil, but remember how black and mirror polished your grandmother's cast iron was back in the day? 90% of the old timers back then used nothing but lard to season with and their methods are tried and true! Here at The Old Farmhouse, we have taken that same proven method and brought a dying art back into the present because sometimes, the old ways truly are the best ways!
Our product is designed and intended for cast iron and steel skillets, but many of our customers swear that it also works great on carbon steel knives, gunstocks, gun barrels, meat saw blades, and woodgrain knife and tool handles.

We sell all kinds of antique, vintage and modern merchandise from estate sales, collections, consignments and auctions. Unless otherwise stated, all items are sold “

” with no warranties or guarantees written or implied. That said, we
WILL NOT
sell you junk. All items listed have been tested for functionality and we will specify if an item is untested or is for parts only. Please read the description and view the photos carefully before bidding, buying, or asking questions.

We try our very best to give a complete, clear and accurate description of all items listed. However, we may miss something that is important to you. Please do not hesitate to email us should you have any questions, concerns or require more detailed photos. If you spot an error, trust that it is unintentional and send us a message, and we will correct the listing ASAP.

I (the owner) am by no means an expert on many of the items that are listed, so unless an item is specifically stated as being graded by a professional grading company, all item conditions are based on my judgement, research, comparison and common sense.

We set our listings in at a fair price based on item research and comparison. Most of our items listed are open to negotiation, even if there is no
“BEST OFFER”
option, so don’t hesitate to email us if you are interested. We will entertain any “best offer” and will almost never refuse one that is reasonable.

The one exception is if I have more than one of the same items for sale and the descriptions and conditions are so similar that taking pictures of each one would be pointless.
Domestic Shipping
Please do not complain to us about the cost of shipping; we also feel your pain on this subject. We enter the
exact
weight of the item, then add one pound to allow for the weight of the box and packing material. Unfortunately, USPS, UPS and FedEx have raised rates for 2022, so shipping is not getting any cheaper. We can't help that; take it up with the carrier.
Normally, we will ship your item within a couple hours of receiving payment or the next morning if the auction ends late. We also combine shipping when possible.
We try to ship USPS Priority when we can because we save money by getting the boxes for free and oftentimes the shipping cost is only a few cents more than Economy or First Class and you will get your item faster.

International Shipping
International buyers are responsible for all Duties and Customs Fees associated with the receiving of purchased items. These fees are

Refunds & Returns
Our merchandise is often antique or vintage and is sold
“AS IS”
, because many items of that age will often have some defects and/or flaws and we typically do not offer refunds. I am an honest and reasonable person and I run an honest company, but
“AS IS”
means exactly that...the photographs and description tell the story.
However, if you wish to return an item because of our fault (misleading description, forgot to mention testing or condition, damage not photographed, etc.), Please contact me promptly and we will get the problem resolved whether via refund, exchange, or discount.
When returning an item for refund, please be aware that you will be refunded the original purchase price plus original shipping, However, you are responsible for any and all shipping charges including insurance when returning the item.
