HUGE VINTAGE SOUTHWESTERN TURQUOISE NICKEL SILVER BELT BUCKLE LONGHORN SKULL.
Here is a very nice Rare vintage handmade longhorn skull belt buckle. This buckle is in good condition, showing some signs of wear, with a great look. Wow what a big statement buckle this is, beautifully handcrafted out of nickel silver and copper! It seems the belt keeper on the back had detatched at one time and was JB Welded back on. The turquoise is synthetic, and there seems to be a piece of the wire work missing rite above the left horn. I was told that a man in southern Arizona made these type of buckles back in the late 70's. When he passed on his son brought the what buckles were left to a friend of mine and sold all of them to him. He was a magnificent craftsman, some of the buckles he made were over a foot in width! This buckle came from that collection. Periodically buckles similar to this one will pop up on ebay for sale, they are rare, and no more are being made! 8 inches wide x 6 inches tall.
