    Condition is New
    Shipped with USPS, wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap
    Each puck contains at least 1000mg of powdered monazite (high grade thorium ore). Monazite contains 3.5-10% thorium dioxide and emits alpha particles and undergoes (beta and/or gamma decay).
    This Item is not recommended for use with "dosimeters" that do not detect alpha particles as 74% of the activity in this specimen is in the form of alpha particles.
    The container is approximately 29 by 14mm in size and is sealed closed to prevent accidents. If you need a quantity for other purposes, please send me a message.
