A sub-tropical perennial usually grown as an annual. The salmon-orange flowers of this variety have a hypnotic contrasting rose-colored throat. Flowers open in the late afternoon closing by morning before starting the process again late afternoon. four o'clocks are long-blooming staples of any garden growing in full-sun to part-shade. Also great for containers.
Tubers can be lifted in colder climates and replanted. Typically perennial in zone 8 though severe winters in zone 8 may freeze the tubers though unlikely.
