    To Propagate
    : Scarify one end of the seed—1-2 mm—and soak in water for forty-eight hours prior to planting. Planting in a moist medium after scarification should obtain the similar results. Germination is within 7-14 days.
    Bluestar is a native herbaceous perennial with clean, green foliage that turns a clear yellow in fall. Native to moist to wet, rich, open, and rocky woods and thickets, bluestar boast blue flowers—that most rare of colors. The light blue, star-like flowers form attention-grabbing clusters which cover the plant when in bloom.
    Flowering in just the second year from seed bluestar is a must as a border plant though is such a standout can be planted on its own as a specimen or in containers. Especially attractive on a shady edge where its delicate-looking flowers pop.
