In conditions of natural placement, dense forests serve as native lands for it, where this variety can grow under the cover of large trees that are scattered along the shores of large and small waterways. The sprouts feel good in shading, but when the vine becomes an adult, bright lighting is most suitable for it. Using branches and tree trunks as a support, strongylodon can climb shoots to a height of 15-20 meters. The color of its flowers, collected in cluster-like inflorescences, is reddish or scarlet-red. There is information that a variety of red "jade vine" has already been assigned to the genus
Mucuna and is called Mucuna benettii.
The plant is an endemic species found only in this territory, for the islands of the Philippine archipelago and grows in its forests. It is considered endangered, since it is currently an exotic devoid of natural pollinators due to the destruction of their habitat.
Jade vine is a representative of perennial legume vines belonging to the genus Strongylodon. The locals call the plant Taibak, which is a large vine up to 18 meters long. From the trunk of the liana itself, leafy processes of leaves depart, which, in turn, can also reach about 3 meters. The color of the leaf processes varies from blue-green to turquoise. The color of Strongylodon Large-leaved remotely resembles the color of such a mineral as Jade, which is why the plant got its name. Up to 75 leaf processes can be present on one vine, which in turn form fleshy seed pods. The seed pods of the jade vine can be up to 15 centimeters long and each box contains up to 12 seeds. Jade flowers, first of all, are famous for their inflorescences, painted in azure, emerald-bluish-green tones, similar in color to the jade stone. They are collected in long, almost meter-long, brushes of several dozen, sometimes up to a hundred pieces.

How to germinate a jade flower seed?
Seeds can be obtained from an already grown plant, or simply bought in a specialized store. Remember that they need to be planted immediately before it dries up – they have a fairly short period of germination. First, the seed should be soaked for several days in warm water. On day 4-5, you need to file the upper peel along the seam. In no case do not open the seeds at the seam – they will rot and will not sprout. After about 7 days, the grain increases in size, and the sawn places swell.
