Minor scratches to the white areas consistent with age, a couple of rubs to the edge (see close-up) and one plate does show a small area of disturbed paint (see last image of the robin). The others are all fine and overall these are in great condition for their age.

    Stunning set of 4 unique, hand-painted cabinet plates by Royal Worcester. Mark dates these to 1875. Unsigned, however, attributed to John Hopewell who did not sign his work. (A google search will bring up a number of the same pieces in the US and abroad). Raised, "jeweled" gold border. They are stunning! These matched plates are all dated 1875 and measure about 9 1/8 inches. Condition is as described above and shown in the images. Rare opportunity to get a matched set of these incredible plates.
