18 Privet - Bare Root Seedlings

Description

Our Chinese privet is grown on our land in northeastern North Carolina.  In the autumn, larger plants will produce dark berries that can be used for reseeding.  In the spring, there will be white flowers on larger plants once the tree matures.  The species has been verified by our NC Forestry Service.   We do not use herbicides or pesticides on our plants.
Privets can be used as hedges or left to grow as trees (ranging from 4' - 15') depending on how often you trim them.  Some use them as bonsai plants if they are trimmed back at an early age.
Ideal for Zones 4 -10.  Very hardy plant that is tolerant of a wide variety of soil conditions.
This listing is for 18 seedlings. Each seedling will be approximately 6"- 12".  We will uproot and hydrate for at least 24 hours.  We recommend you hydrate upon receipt for another 24-48 hours before planting.
